Independent Living

For a century, The Myron Stratton Home has offered a comfortable, safe place to live to older persons with a limited income.

One and two bedroom units for couples, and one bedroom units for singles are available. Services include paid utilities (except for telephone and cable television), transportation to medical appointments and shopping, an activity program and an emergency alert and response system. A cafeteria meal plan, housekeeping and laundry services also are available.



General Requirements for Eligibility:

Residents must be able to live and function independently in this supportive environment.

Financial and Age Restrictions:

There is an income cap, which may change. It is similar to guidelines for HUD low-income housing. Eligible Residents are age 62 or older. One member of a couple must meet that requirement.

Geographical Requirements:

Residents of El Paso County have preference for admission, followed by other residents of the state of Colorado. Residents must be United States Citizens.
